The Power of Color: How Fiametta's Pride Collection Redefines Fine Jewelry

In fine jewelry, color is often seen as an accent - an embellishment rather than the main event. But in Fiametta’s Pride Collection, color takes center stage. Designed as a tribute to individuality, resilience, and identity, the collection is a bold evolution of Fiametta’s aesthetic - and a love letter to the queer community it was created to honor.

Launched in celebration of Pride Month Jewelry, this limited-edition release marks the brand’s first foray into natural colored gems, and it does so with intention. Each of the seven charms is engraved with a unique edition number and date, and paired with an ethically sourced gemstone chosen for its hue, origin, and story. In a market saturated with sameness, these pieces are as personal as they are precious.

Why Color Now?

First known for creative usage of lab-grown diamonds, Fiametta has always championed responsible luxury. But as founder Merill Hollander- a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community puts it: “The queer community has always redefined tradition. That same spirit guides Fiametta.”

The Pride Collection jewelry channels that same energy through color. Vivid natural gemstones-many reclaimed from vintage pieces or sourced directly from women-led mining cooperatives in Tanzania—bring a new, emotional materiality to the brand’s minimalist forms. The result is a set of charms that celebrate LGBTQ+ identity, feel both completely new and deeply rooted: modern heirlooms that celebrate where you’ve been and who you’re becoming.

The Ethics of Expression

At Fiametta, rarity is defined by consciousness. This has been core to the brand’s ethos since launch. The Pride Collection jewelry elevates that philosophy by expanding Fiametta’s material vocabulary while sticking to its values.

Each charm is made using 14k recycled gold and Fiametta’s signature lab-grown diamonds, cultivated with renewable energy. The colored gemstones are the stars of the show: natural, traceable gemstones, and packed with symbolism. Whether it’s a piece of spinel salvaged from vintage jewelry or a responsibly sourced sapphire glowing with saturation, every element of this colored fine jewelry collection is carefully considered.

“We’re not using natural stones to signal luxury by price,” says Hollander. “We’re redefining rarity to mean responsibility.”

It’s a message that resonates far beyond design.

Advocacy, Adornment, and Pride

Fiametta’s Pride jewelry collection doesn’t just symbolize identity-it actively supports it. A portion of the proceeds from these pieces will benefit the Ali Forney Center, the nation’s largest nonprofit supporting LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness. “Jewelry has long been a symbol of celebration,” Hollander says. “But for many in our community, joy is not guaranteed- it is fought for. This collection honors that struggle and contributes to something larger than adornment.”

A One-of-a-Kind Story for Every Wearer

What makes these charms feel so powerful isn’t just the colored gemstones or the symbolism behind them-it’s the way each piece invites the wearer into the narrative. Each charm is engraved with an individual number and date, making it both a personal artifact and a visual statement. These are not mass-produced pieces. They’re talismans. Miniature monuments to personal growth, queerness, and radical beauty.

“There’s no other community that celebrates or encourages individuality in the way the LGBTQ+ community does,” Hollander says. “So it felt fitting that the collection reflect that—by having each piece be unique.”

The Future of Fine Jewelry Is Personal

Fiametta’s Pride Collection is more than just a seasonal launch- it’s a signal of where the brand is headed and of what colored fine jewelry can be–how color, when used with purpose, can become a language of identity, integrity, and transformation.
